Calgary customer Sara-Joy sent us in this amazing painting she did using spud produce as inspiration! We love it just as much as we love hearing from all of you! You can chime in on our Facebook page, by sharing your views on Twitter or right here on the spud blog!.

spud customer Kara is a mum of two (with another on the way) and owner of Little Traveller baby equipment rentals.
Little Traveller rents out car seats, strollers, playpens, highchairs, the award-winning CARES airplane harness for kids, and anything else a travelling baby might need, from her home office in the Kensington area of Calgary.
Originally from the UK, Kara and her husband moved to Calgary almost 10 years ago. They haven’t lost their love of travelling, but find travelling with little ones a whole new adventure all of its own! Kara’s background is in book publishing but when her second baby was born she bought the Little Traveller business so that she could work from home on her own schedule. She loves the social aspect of running a business and meeting new people, but she especially loves getting great feedback… And who doesn’t!?
Kara tell us that she loves the ease that spud gives her in grocery shopping. “I find grocery shopping with my two young daughters very trying. I avoid it if at all possible. I order all my basics from spud — great bread, yoghurt, milk, fruit and vegetables — and then whatever takes my fancy when browsing online each week.
My kids’ favourites are the Amy’s Kitchen frozen Mac & Cheese meals which they ask for every day but which I ration to once a week (more often if they are feeling under the weather and are need of some comfort food!)
My favourites are the Liberté Mediterranne yoghurts, the [Happy Planet] Louisiana corn chowder and
Denman Island cool mint chocolate bars (I’m not so good at rationing the chocolate – it tastes too good!).
I also look forward to trying out the recipe suggestion every week in the newsletter and trying new foods and combinations I hadn’t thought of before.”
Families traveling to town renting from Little Traveller now also have the option of getting all the organic baby food they might need through Kara from spud!. We’re thrilled to be partnering with such an innovative and cool family-friendly local business.
Kara can be reached at 403-242-4067 or online at www.LittleTraveller.ca
