I get to fit in more laps at the pool!
Location: Vancouver
With my 81 minutes a week, I will take the time to go outside and look around at what nature as to offer and I will take the time to make somebody’s day better by helping out in which ever way I can.
I am from the wonderful city of Victoria!!!
How many extra spuds could I eat in 81 min? Well, my girlfriend’s the math nerd, so it’d probably take me my whole extra 81 min earned just to figure it out. Instead, see picture for estimated self portrait after eating spuds for 81 min.

If I had an extra 81 minutes per week, I’d use it to help spread this message a little more:

ack! I forgot to mention – I’m from Seattle
Hmm with 81 extra minutes I would:
minutes 1-10 eat 81 pieces of chocolate cake
minutes 11-20 collapse into a blissful stomach ache pleasure ball
minutes 21 – 40 run around naked in the forest
minutes 41-42 put my clothes back on..
minutes 43 – 65 help some old ladies across the road (doing something nice)
minutes 65 – 75 – kiss a beautiful woman
minutes 76 – 81 – dance round and round and round until my feet looked like squished tomatoes.
Bah, I forgot where I live for a sec…Seattle baby!!!
P.S. Nicely done Rochelle.
Oh to have an extra 81 minutes to myself!!
81 minutes would be just enough time to take as long as I wanted to shower, dry my hair, pick out an outfit and then change my mind and pick out a different outfit. I could maybe even do a quick coat of polish on my toes. I could put on my makeup and find matching earrings as well as matching socks and a pair of cute boots to wear. I could check the mirror one last time before I left the house, too! Oh, I remember the days when getting ready involved more than a ponytail and semi-clean sweatshirt!
I haven’t been able to do a routine like that in a very long time. My baby boy keeps me
B-U-S-Y!!
PS…I’m a Seattlite.
81 minutes will fly by! Where to start? Iron a couple of shirts for my 83-year-old father with Parkinsons – who hasn’t retired yet, play with my just-turned-four-year-old, volunteer at 3H Craftworks Society (2208 West 4th – gifts, hats, sock monkeys and more, locally-made by adults with special needs).
I could enter more contests!
I would spend a little more time at the bar.
I would teach my dog tricks.
I would learn to cook from scratch rather than using all the prefab foods.
My house would cleaner, but I could also catch up with my some of my favorite television shows.
With an extra 81 minutes I would play with my kids – maybe in the mud like in this photo! Never enough time to play in the mud.

I’m not sure what’s happening with the links…but this might work?
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=5235410&id=554801997
My location is Nanaimo, BC – but Spud Victoria!
With those 81 minutes per week I would volunteer more time at the Humane Society in Berkeley! Dogs need love too!
With my 81 extra minutes I would do further research on how to start a Northwest (Seattle) garden in my backyard while including my two little “helpers”/sons and go.
If I had 81 extra minutes a week, I would pursue more of my own art-capades. I would definitely take more photos in the gorgeous scenery that is the Pacific Northwest, contributing more works to my study of the fauna and flora.
By the way – I’m from Seattle!
With my extra 81 minutes per week I’m going to read “Peter and the Starcatchers” to my 6 & 8 year old little boys! It’s a great prequel adventure to Peter Pan!!!
I would attempt clogging!
I would spend those 81 minutes cooking a vegetarian meal for the needy to serve with the local chapter of Food Not Bombs!
http://www.foodnotbombs.net/cook_for_peace.gif
I’m in San Francisco.
An extra hour & 21 minutes sounds great. And every week – wow! I tend to get creative when I have extra time. Over the years, I have met so many people with food allergies who miss their favorite foods or feel they’re missing out. I would probably spend my time immersed in nutritional research, & discovering & creating organic food recipes.
I would read a good book! …something I find I don’t have a lot of time for having two small children.
oops forgot my city: Sooke, B.C.
My life seems like a constant battle between rushing to the next task or appointment vs. my deepest desires to live An Examined Life — whether that be reading an extra chapter of a novel or “self-improvement” tome, a meandering walk in the nearby Presidio, or reconnecting with friends that I literally have placed on a “Do Not Lose Touch” list. 81 minutes saved due to Spud’s convenience is perhaps a little more than an hour, but it’s potential is perpetuating.
My city: San Fran
I would maybe quite retirement and find a job. I would be so bored.
I would get caught up on doing minutes for my various commitees.
Whenever I have ANY extra minutes, I sew! Then I blog about what I sew! I will never lug milk jugs home from the store again thanks to SPUD.
I live in North Vancouver
Is this where we put our entries in? If so With 81 extra minutes a week I would do what I always think I don’t have time for…reading those 3 books I bought on organic gardening, dust off the planters, seeds, tools and get outside and plant that veggi garden. I would really put into action all those articles, plans and ideas I’ve collected from books and pretty magazine pictures that make me feel greener for reading them but don’t really make me greener if I do not take action and make them happen in my daily life. Practical application a little every week makes progress towards my goal of living a healthy, responsible life and 81 minutes ought to be just about right to stop any nasty procrastination. Be Green, Don’t just THINK Green. – Jenny R.
With an extra 81 minutes, I’d be able to get back into my running routine. I’ve always been a larger woman but I was always athletic. Until I moved to LA and had to work all the time.
Last year I had gotten back into the groove and was running three times a week, rough 2.75 miles, and I was feeling wonderful.
Then the hubby lost his job and I had to start picking up tutoring clients and amp up my baking for profit business to meet our monetary needs and the running went by the wayside.
If I had an extra 81 minutes, I could still do all those extra hours to pay the bills but I could ALSO get back into my exercising habit and maybe lose a few of these stress pounds I’ve packed out.
With my 81 extra minutes each week, I am finishing my PhD dissertation. I only leave the house to take my daughter to and from school, work towards my black belt in TaeKwonDo with my daughter, lead Girl Scout meetings, or sell Girl Scout cookies! I never have to shop anymore, especially because SPUD carries almost anything I need! They have added items to their website each time I have made special requests. Another benefit of having SPUD is that my cats can play in the empty boxes that sit patiently by the door waiting to be exchanged for another reusable box full of wonderful food for a very tired dissertation-writer and her family. (Can you tell I’m going a little crazy?) Anyway, yay SPUD!
I’m from Covina, CA
I’d use that 81 minutes to practice more recipes for ethically and locally sourced products to make my family healthier and happier!
From Vancouver!
With 81 extra minutes, I could actually let my manicure fully dry!
I live in Seattle, WA
I am a single mom of two that is always juggling an unending number of extra-curricular activites, on top of my full-time job AND university. Life is hectic!
I should say I’d spend an extra 81 minutes scrubbing my floors, catching up on the piling mountains of laundry, or some other household task. Reality is I would come close to killing for a nap or a pedicure right about now!
I’m in Calgary!
81 minutes…
…enjoy a jog outside (& still have time to stretch and shower after).
…bake the banana bread I’ve been waiting to bake for 2 weeks now (bananas still in freezer).
…take our new puppy for a play date.
…make cards and write encouraging and uplifting notes to my closest girl friends.
…shop for the new shoes I need for a friend’s wedding.
…frame the pictures I have in my closet from the 50s of my mom as a child.
…clean. I love to clean.
oops. i forgot to mention that i’m in portland, or.
EIGHTY ONE MINUTES? Dear lord, so much. SO MUCH! Okay, this is a start.

YAY SPUD!:)
Oh, and I’m in Vancouver
I’m pretty focused on diet and fitness at the moment and so I think I could use those 81 minutes to plan my meals for the next week.
With anytime leftover I would divide equally into:
1) a Kiehl’s face mask
2) a fruit smoothie
3) a race through the forest with my 4 year old minion
4) a smooch and a shoulder rub for my man
5) and maybe a sweep of the front doorway because there is always twigs and random shoe shrapnel present there.
I would finally read the book sitting on my bedside table!
what would i do with the extra 81 minutes?
i have too beautiful young girls under two. for whatever reason, they love screaming and throwing a fuss. with the extra 81 minutes, i would rather listen to them scream, fuss and throw jars of food at home rather than in aisle 6 at safeway
my location:
North Burnaby, BC
I’d lengthen my daily walks by 10 minutes or take the entire 81 minutes to write poetry and read it to my loved one!
I would take the 81 minutes to finally use all those tasty groceries to make sweet, sweet slow cooked meals. Right now it’s more like “chop faster, you only have nine minutes before everyone comes home!”
With 81 extra minutes, I would spend the time researching & applying to nutrition programs at local universities to finally make the career change I’ve been dreaming of!
San Francisco, CA!
i need some extra sleep but i also need to catch up on e-mail so i’d process e-mail for 30 minutes then the words would go fuzzy so i’d go have a ‘nap’ and hope my alarm wakes me up when i need to do my next activity
I was told that I forgot to provide my location. I’m in Vancouver.
With my extra 81 minutes I am studying Japanese!
それではまた後で !
Arigato Spud!
I’m in Whistler, BC. Once I’ve learned enough Japanese I’ll use 40.5 minutes to teach English!
だれでも結合したいと思うか ? はい!!
I would spend more time playing with my 4 year old daughter instead of doing my shopping list which takes me so much time to do every week!
What would I do with an extra 81 minutes a week? Why, play with my miniature la Mancha goats! Now that Seattle has made them legal, my cuties live on my lot, and they are so much fun to hang out with–they love the attention, love to snuggle, and help make me a calmer, more attentive person (good for my husband, my children, and my students!) They currently produce wonderful fertilizer, and will also produce milk after they have kids of their own.
Since I started shopping at Spud,
saving gas and time;
Eating better, healthier food,
I am walking in my neighborhood,
meeting neighbors
watching Spring come,
getting healthier, stronger, happier.
My neighborhood is Lincoln in the town of Vancouver, USA
Spud actually gives me much more than 81 minutes of time – working more than one job and having kids means that each second is precious. I get 4800 seconds more!! YAY! I get more hugs for my kids, more time to go to the gym, more time to do laundry, more time to sleep, more time period….. Thanks Spud!!
Sheese! I missed a minute (for those checking my math) 4860 seconds!!
Richmond BC
I can spend more time cooking delicious meals for my family. I also have more time to cuddle my birds and hedgehog. And all those delicious veggies give my fids something to chomp on that’s good for them.
